When things get down to object-based, it's easier to discover functions and cases they should include. Like OO programming language, objects are used to define things among different scenarios. As for web design, especially some demo or showcase websites that need to highlight certain things, which are likely based on several locations or time periods. It's more efficient to have a parallax scrolling website that focused on either a product, a figure, or any other stuff you want to use to guide visitors through different sections.
Not like some other parallax websites (Like some examples in these
interactive websites) that makes the product turning and changing through the scrolling process, the following ones keep the object constant as a guider to "dive in" the content.
If you want to create your own parallax scrolling website, you may find these
parallax plugins and tutorials very useful.
Music tracks in the headset line travels through.
Oil flows through tubes and cars, the little scientist on the left side also scrolls to indicate what section you're in. This is a design portfolio site though.
The studio logo(a water drop) looks like travelling between tubes and finally drops in the "contact form". What a fun experience!
A very cool portfolio that uses designer himself as the "object". Nice approach!
Instead of one, there are two cute buddies that will spend a day with you. They will start to sit behind the desk, wear suits, take a photo and fall asleep.
A story of water drop. It can't be more suitable than using a parallax web design.
Undersea travel to Atlantis, in an undersea elevator.
Travelling in a rocket to know the history of Intacto.
A submarine tour of Titanic./Lights turns on when you're in deep sea.
Drill through and discover the story of Ikayzo.
First view of this website doesn't seem to be any "abnormal". An elevator shows up when you start to scroll.
A simple website but very meaningful. The poor little kid looks like flying out from the web page and quietly comes back when scrolling back to top.
An airplane guides you to your dream job.
